« We have been all day to the Parliament. First, in the morning, we went to a place to debat about the law’s proposition, if we agreed or not. That was interesting to see how does the laws are written . In the afternoon, we went to an other place to debate with all the people and to choose if the laws passed or not. This day helped me to undertsand how the Parliament worka and what do the deputies really do. The day was really interesting, we were like real Europeans deputies. »

« First we were welcomed with a delicious breakfast and gifts, then we were separated in different rooms and mixed with people from other schools. Thanks to these different rooms, we met new people. I love that we had to use microphones to speak because all people could hear us when we exposed our ideas. In fact we had to change some information from different subjects (desinformation, fast-fashion, …), all people could say what they thought, their ideas and it helped to the expression liberty and express our opinion. This morning was really cool and interesting, I like to hear what people think and what is different to my opinion.
But the afternoon was really long for me because we had to stay concentrated for a long time and it was hard for me to just listen people speak and do nothing. My opinion is that this afternoon was interesting but too long.
However I keep a very good impression about this day and I really enjoyed it. »

« I found this day very interesting. This experience helped me to understand better how the European Parliament works and how the decisions are made. I enjoyed the debates, discussions, and working with other people. The environment was calm and pleasant. It was an educational experience, I appreciated it. I think the morning was more interesting than the afternoon, beacause I liked to debate on the european articles. »

« I really appreciate the fact that we were invited to participate in the « Conseil Régional ». It was a very great way to experience a lot of things and most importantly to participate in the European Union.
The service that they gave us was way incredible : food, some accessories…
I chose the buget section of the European Union. In our group we weren’t numerous so everybody was free the talk and to give ther ideas and all the articles were kind of hard and even if i didn’t understang things clearly I participated and they even listened and used my sugestions which was a very happy and proud moment for me. My team and I chose to be equal which means that we think about everything and everyone because budget is a very sensitive subject for us and there’s were we made the biggest mistake I guess.
Fanta and I chose to speak as rapporteurs for the 3rd article, and I guess it was because of the stress of the questions or I don’t know but i couldn’t control my emotions and couldn’t stop laughting whereas I tried my best not to so it was very embarassing . I understand that being fair wasn’t a good idea because after the speech, people asked a lot of questions. I want to say that even if we were right to be fair our law wasn’t accepted. »

« For this day , I chose the disinformation committee because I was very interested in the topic. When we arrived , we were warmly welcomed by everyone. After breakfast, I went to my committee with other students.
We started discussing and sharing our opinions on the proposed articles to decide whether to amend them or not. I really liked the fact that everyone listened to each other and considered each other’s arguments without judgment. I also enjoyed being a rapporteur because it was an experience I will never forget. »

« During this experience, I overall appreciated the activity. However, I chose the theme of resources, which included three different topics, and I found it a rather difficult challenge for STMG students .
Indeed, we were not necessarily prepared for this type of subject, and it was not something we expected. Additionally, the people we worked with used quite technical vocabulary, which we did not always fully understand
But I enjoyed speaking in front of everyone in the afternoon, as I had never done this before, even though the questions we were asked were rather difficult. »

« I really enjoyed my day at the European Parliament. It was a very interesting experience, and I appreciated learning how the debates and discussions took place. I especially loved the gifts we received. I also prefered the morning to the afternoon, as I found it more dynamic and engaging. The most stressful moment for me was when I had to speak in English in front of everyone. I was quite nervous, but in the end, I’m glad I i dit.Overall, I really enjoyed the whole day and I’m happy to have participated in this experience. It allowed me to discover new things and step a little outside my comfort zone. »

« I enjoyed this day, I found it very interesting and rewarding. Personally, I spoke about misinformation because I think that the topic represents current events well. We were well received and worked to amend or not the texts. It was friendly. »
